Sensei Kershaw is reknowned for his attention to detail, drawn from over 50 years of training with some of the world's greatest masters, including Master Hirokazu Kanazawa and Master Shiro Asano.
Kihon, Kata, Kumite... all will be covered and will enhance students abilities whether kyu or the highest dan grades.

Sensei Kershaw was SKI(GB) Men's Kata Champion a record six consecutive times from 1987 to 1992. He teaches each of the Shotokan kata in minute detail, from the Heian kata, through to the most advanced dan grade kata's - Unsu and Gojushiho Sho.
General kata courses or kyu/dan grade only, you choose.

Anyone wishing to progress to any level of expertise in karate must work on the foundations - KIHON. It's not just about punching, blocking, kicking... it's knowing how to perform each to the maximum efficiency. This means breaking each technique down, and working on the finer points of correct execution. Sensei Kershaw will explain how to attain this level of efficiency. The mechanics of each technique, the tension, the breathing, correct hip movement, all will be covered.
He will leave you with lots to think about, and most importantly to practice!
